OLD RECIPE FOR PEANUT BUTTER FUDGE
FROM 1914
3 tbsp peanut butter
3/4 tsp of salt
2 C sugar
1 C milk
Put sugar and milk in saucepan over low to med heat stir until blended, add the peanut butter and salt. Stir occasionally while cooking. Should be cooked slowly until a soft ball can be formed if dropped into cup of cold water. Beat vigorously until it begins to stiffen, then pour in dish and let set. This makes a delicious, creamy candy, if beaten enough.
